Anyway, I suppose it is to say that the nations with the best scientific knowledge are the ones that usually win wars!

Is it actually possible that Britain leaves the EU or does it just seem that way because the proponents of "secession" are very loud? As an island nation, Britain has had the luxury of not being invaded since 1066 (Spain came very close in 1588), and as such has a strong fabric of pride and wariness to foreign influence (the Channel Tunnel and the famous book The Battle of Dorking come to mind).

I am incapable of purposely provoking people, particularly in the real world (I sometimes purposely provoke people in the YouTube comments section).  It always astounds me how easy it is for people to start a fight with someone who means them, nor anybody, harm.  My ADD provokes people, even those that are aware of my condition, to hurt my feelings and make me feel very guilty- and whatever the issue, real or imagined, leaves a bad taste in my mouth that usually won't let up for days.

"Just being honest", is, as I figure it, when somebody admits to a wrong or has advise or a criticism to make to you, but doing it minus a patronizing tone. In other words, they don't make you feel like a punk. In their mind, I think, rudeness helps you. It' "tough love". My whole life is this- from early childhood, all through school, all through college, and life after college.

You see, I had my first drink during my first week at college in Fall 2000 at Syracuse University. I drank a few Samuel Adams, and felt at ease with people I would normally feel uncomfortable to have conversations with; people I would normally feel intimidated by. Alcohol did that.

During the Vietnam War, the Vietcong and North Vietnamese could smell where enemy soldiers (American, South Vietnamese, Australian) trekked because of their diet. Unfortunately, as much as they ripped ass, it had almost no effect on them. It would take more than foul gas and stool to pacify the communists.

In 2001 the late George Carlin suggested this diet to American and British soldiers in Tora Bora. The gas the soldiers would produce from this diet, Carlin argued, would smoke out Osama bin Laden and his boys out of the mountain caves.

You see, the other night I was at a bar and a girl explained to me an interesting hobby of hers: researching marijuana.

Girl: I've been researching pot myself since college on myself and I've discovered that the fact ---

Me (interrupting): A good scientist never experiments on themself!

Girl: Oh really!? Issac Newton had the apple fall on his own head! That's how he found out about gravity!! Do you not believe in gravity because he experimented on himself!!??
 
Me: I believe in gravity.

Girl: I think we can all agree that pot is god for everyone. From the young to the old everyone should be on it all the time, like vitamins.

Me: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!! "The young"!?

Girl: Yes.

Me: How young are we talking?

Girl: I would recommend starting in your early teenage years, 13.

Me: Ridiculous! We have 150% more kids in treatment for an addiction to pot than we did in 1968! I'd like to bring a panel of them here and ask them ---

Girl: I'd get 'em high!

Me: You're a jeopardy to society.

Girl: You're a Wheel of Fortune to society!

One of the primary reasons it's sold as prescription-only in some countries, is due to the fact that it's been commonly manufactured at doses above 1mg - thus leading to unregulated dosing protocols that can alter circadian rhythm and ultimately potentiate the sleeping disorder even further

Do we really need the American or British government or whatever watching over us that much? I get why most medications require a perscription, but for a bottle of Calms Forte? I think the fine people at the HHS, DH, et cetera, have too much time on their hands.

The scientific community now largely accepts that a homosexual cannot become heterosexual, no matter what kind of medicine or "therapy" they are given. However, homosexuality can be controlled, though it is very difficult. That is them abstaining from receiving any form of sexual gratification from homosexual acts, including pornography. Even in the ultra-conservative middle east, homosexuals risk prison or death or possibly Jahannam (if they believe in it) to satisfy their private urges.

So that brings me to paedophilia. I think we all agree that putting a child into a sexual situation is morally wayward to say the least. Here in the west we have therapies for paedophiles. Both the F.B.I. and Scotland Yard reach out to both offending and non-offending pedophiles to seek therapy.

How can we cure paedophilia any more than we can cure any other type of sexuality? Or is therapy simply about controlling paedophiles, helping them empathise with children and what effects sexual acts will have on them in a very long term way. Convincing them (paedophiles) to abstain from receiving any form of sexual gratification from paedophilia, including child pornography. I wonder how successfully that is, if indeed it actually put to practice?

I haven't the slightest. Melatonin only has placebo effects. No more dangerous to the body than H2O. The drug certainly cannot be used recreationally.

Man Camp is an intensive, week long emotional retraining program designed to help men empathize with their wives, so they know what it's like to be a woman. Men are not only taught to emotionally connect with their wives/girlfriends, but to learn how to openly cry. Men are taught how to be interested and focused on what their wives/girlfriends have to say. I'm sure you all get the gist of it.

So, have any of you read up on this, and have found any evidence that they work? It seems like so many programs, self help groups, et cetera, are able to function quite well despite clear evidence of the contrary.
