Seeing that I have been away for a long time trying to get my health back, I find myself not knowing many of you who are posting and would greatly love making your acquaintances. Please tell me a bit about yourselves and how you came upon our lovely forum?

Nice to meet you Paul. Thats a nice career. Thank you for sharing. I live in the USA, Calif. 63 years young and spent early years as house wife and mother. My children grew up and I went back to college to get my teaching credentials.. Ended up teaching preschool children and working with autistic kids as often as I could. Now medically retired but recovering from major health problems but doing very well.I found the forum while researching some diet pills I was using to lose weight..

No not presently, it was civil engineering I did but it requires the basics in physics and maths so became interested in science that way.

OK, well it Is great that you are interested, and participate a lot in our forum, Its nice to have your contributions. I have been away a long while and am shocked by how few folks are participating these days. I hope to see our numbers go back up again! It's a great forum with good information, and I for one feel I'm never too old to learn something new daily, or to understand many things more thoroughly then I have known, before.

Hi.
I find myself not knowing many of you who are posting and would greatly love making your acquaintances.
I'm sorry I missed this post when it was new.
I have no objection to disclosing some information about myself but it's mainly dull and of lttle interest to anyone else.
Easily obtained information:
You ( @Karen W. ) have posted 20 542 times on the "Just Chat" section looking at the summary statistics, so this is your preferred territority of the forum. You also use a lot of green ink.
Something I've noticed:
Many of your posts focus on people and how they are.
My heart cries out in anguish, and tears of bitter pain,
at the loss of those who have been taken, by those who seem insane..

You also created and participated in several posts that were mainly just for the involvement or entertainment of other people. E.g. you frequently contributed to the A-Z of science thread.
You've been heard and noticed, Karen. Thank you for making the forum a better place. You've disclosed in several posts that you're unwell and I'm sure that we all wish you well.
Best Wishes.
