Title: Can being cold increase risk of urinary tract infection?
Post by: thedoc on 17/07/2012 04:30:01
Pippard Vigander  asked the Naked Scientists:

Hi Chris,

I keep hearing from several sources that being cold or wearing wet clothes (especially underwear) can cause urinary infections, especially in girls. Is there any good evidence of this?

I am skeptical, and immediately think of the mythical link between being cold and getting a cold.

Cheers,
