Title: Which is the best Science gift to present someone?
Post by: geekguy on 16/07/2019 14:13:34
I want to buy a science-related gift for my relative. He is one of the science nerds he likes science material. Can anyone suggest to me which gift should I buy to impress him?

I would imagine the hive mind could help on this, but we will be more effective if you can first answer these questions:
What's your price range, how fast do you need it, and do you know what this relative likes more specifically than "science"?

How old?

Native language?

Practical or theoretical interest?

The important thing it that it should be something he wants.  The best ideas could come from him.  With some care, and a range of ideas, you could still surprise him, if that's what you want to do.

An oldie but a goldie, one of my favourite popular science books of all time is "Right Hand, Left Hand" by Chris McManus. A brilliant book and a worthy winner of both the Wellcome and Aventis book prizes.
