Title: Where do weevils in beans come from?
Post by: thedoc on 19/07/2013 04:30:01
John Franklin  asked the Naked Scientists:

I was listening to a question that was put to you regarding tiny little insects appearing in a sealed bottle of beans. I have had this happen with rice, beans and other grains stored in sealed bottles.

I know these creatures a weevlils and I think you must be right that the eggs must be present before storing.

Thanks for a good program (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/).
