What is the way that cancer evades immunity?

I would guess that it disguises or camouflages itself.  Or it might have a fast variable shield.

Or it might be a true predator and not a grazer.  With a strategy.  Perhaps by giving the immune system a fast sequence patterns to replicate, wearing down and depleting the system.......then attacking with replication and establishing a beachhead.

Because it's essentially the same as the tissue from which it was created.
