Title: Why have some topics disappeared?
Post by: graham.d on 03/03/2013 13:49:31
Someone asked a series of 4 questions (they looked like exam questions) which I answered but with a comment that, if they were exam questions or homework, they would be better working out the answers themselves. When I look back now (a couple of hours later) the questions and answers have disappeared.

Have these been expunged somehow, is it a fault or can the questioner simply withdraw the question (and, along with it, any answers)?

Hi Graham,

I know the admins have made it possible for the mods to reinstate deleted threads, but I'm not sure what the limitations on members deleting posts are.

Care to help us test this?  Can you try to delete this thread and PM me with the result?  I'll reinstate it if you do successfully delete it.

Thanks for noticing this.
We are reviewing the deletion, and apologize for any confusion.

I have restored the "science questions" that you had replied to into the forums: "Science Experiments", "Chemistry", and "Technology".

We are reviewing some additional posts that were also deleted.
