Gary L Kettlewood Jr asked the Naked Scientists:
I think I have a fun question...
I hear from certain conspiracy themed sources, that Ununpentium (element 115) exists in an "island of stability" on the periodic chart, and can be used for Anti-Gravity purposes by secretive governments to help fly their UFO's.
Is there such an 'island of stability' for proposed heavier elements?
Thank you.
What do you think?

Well, there is unobtanium of course?

The island of stability is typically for elements with an even number of protons (and even number of neutrons helps too). Element 114, not 115, is predicted to be the "relatively" stable one in that region. Look up the shell model of the nucleus for more information.
Also, I wouldn't take Robert Lazar's story of an element 115-powered flying saucer too seriously; he says that the strong nuclear force of an element 115 atom extends beyond the perimeter of the atom itself, which is what makes it special. I think we all know that doesn't work.
