Title: What happened to me exactly?
Post by: realmswalker on 21/11/2006 06:06:16
So the other day i was messin around with some friends, and we wanted to see who had stronger lungs
so i took a couple deep breaths, and then we blew into opposite sides of a piece of pipe, and i kept blowing harder and harder and passed out, hitting my head on the ground.
I was out for about a minute, and had an odd dream that felt sorta like a salvia trip (for those of you who know what that is) and woke up entirely disoriented and lost and emotional....
what, physiologically, happened to me, what are possible side effects...?

Sounds like your Valsalva maneuvuer caused a temporary drop in blood pressure, resulting in loss of consciousness.

No long term problems are likely to ensue, as long as you don't do this repeatedly. So don't.
