Even the carefully-chosen adjectives on the menu will alter the way you perceive the taste of the food.

Some researchers have tweaked the ambient sound in the restaurant - apparently, the sound of waves improves the taste of seafood...

I can imagine that. By listening to the sound of waves, my mind will wander that I am on a beach and eating a freshly-captured seafood products (despite how many days it has been since it was actually captured).

Physiology & Medicine / What Ingredients are Safe to be Mixed with Carrot Juice?

Okay, so my mom made me a cup of carrot juice (sometimes mixed with apples) almost everyday by my request so that my eyes will be normal again. Some weeks ago, my distant relative brought us a bottle of honey and for some weeks I mixed the carrot juice with a tablespoon of honey since my mom asked me to consume both yet I don't like the taste of either, so I mixed them in order to get the taste cancel each other out and it worked. I do however stop mixing it with honey since now what remains in the bottle has changed color already. I still have some instant coffee I got from my office since they gave us extra hours and attempted to mix it with the carrot juice but haven't dared to do it yet since I'm afraid the result will be fatal. So, is it safe to mix carrot juice with (powdered) instant coffee?

Soz mate....we'll have to agree to disagree.....if you can argue with concise dictionary definitions and then expect people to realise Your meaning then I think no one will be able to agree with anything...If you can't trust a dictionary what can you trust ?...and does your rational apply to any and all text/reference books or any reference material of any sort ?

Me, too, don't trust my national, official, dictionary. They either didn't count evolving language, ignoring specific definition, or mixing double negatives.

There is some irony to resurrecting a 14 year old thread to talk about evolution in language.

Well, languages do evolve in 14 years, don't they?
