Adam Reakes asked the Naked Scientists:
Hi guys, Â A 2 part question for you to cast your eye over and rack your brains with:
If the human eye was equated to a digital camera, how many megapixels would it be (assuming the eye had 20/20 vision,) and if the brain were a HDD, what would the storage capacity be? Â Love your podcasts! Â Regards,
Adam Reakes, Sydney, Australia
What do you think?

The eye thing was covered on the forum before:

I think the question of our memories is more complex, as our longterm memory cannot be defined as just a set of discrete data like a computer's. The reliance on massive interconnectivity appears to underlie the way we store events, language, etc and not only our thinking processes.

This one covers it nicely.
