Does this have anything to do with their nervousness? Can it be stopped? Is there a cure for it? What do you think? Please share your answers with us. Thank you.

Stopped? Why would you want a healthy bowl movement stopped?
No it is quite normal, natural and healthy to go first thing in the morning. Anything outside of someone's usual bowel routine is an indicator of things not being right, but apart from that, people go with different frequencies at different times of the day, all of which is normal.

Oh, alright, I initially thought that it was unusual for some people. Then again, why can some people control their passing of motion better than others in times of 'emergency'.

Haha, so how do you train bum muscles? Do that really help contribute to how long you can take to hold/ control your bowel movements?

What I am trying to say is when we are seriously in need of a toilet, how can we control our bowel movements until reaching the toilet?

Don't think about it (https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbestsmileys.com%2Frude%2F15.gif&hash=07a3447fa46bba55e90acc0930be6a7c)

But you can also do what Don_1 suggests (sort of)
Use biofeedback. Biofeedback is a way to strengthen and coordinate the muscles and has helped some people with incontinence. Special computer equipment measures muscle contractions while you do exercises—called Kegels—to strengthen the rectum and improve rectal sensation. These exercises work muscles in the pelvic floor, including those involved in controlling stool. Computer feedback about how the muscles are working shows whether you’re doing the exercises correctly and whether the muscles are getting stronger. Whether biofeedback will work for you depends on the cause of your fecal incontinence, how severe the muscle damage is, and your ability to do the exercises.

So can I safely say that our mental mind plays a big role in doing so too?

On on this forum can you find a thread on strengthening bum muscles.... [:-\] Well maybe some other forums too but lets not go there...!
People who suffer from IBS can sometimes have an urgent need to go to the toilet that they really cannot control, so it maybe that sometimes the bowel is a little irritated.

Thanks for telling us, but could you please elaborate on what IBS is?

I can think of a few that are highly innaproprite, but I think the one Variola had in mind was Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
As I have one in mind myself at the moment, you'll have to excuse me.

Gosh! No cure! So what would your advice be to those with IBS?

Well, similar to the worker who fell into the sewage pond but was not able to swim, you might simply go through the motions.

Interesting... Jokes aside, what type of advice will you give to those with IBS?

There are two anal sphincter muscles and the outer one is voluntary. With all the silliness of the above on bum exercises aside, I think you should ask a physician about specific exercises to strengthen your voluntary sphincter muscle in order to have more control when things get urgent. Steve
