Title: Would plants do better with black leaves?
Post by: colarris on 08/06/2010 22:48:42
Would it not be more beneficial to the plant if the leaves were black in colour and reflected hardly any light and absorbed as much as it could?

if this were the case, it means the plant would absorb all wavelengths including UV and this is not good for the plant as it causes mutations and therefore damage of the plant.
