New Theories / Re: An Offer I Made to Utrecht University in the Netherlands
« on: 19/10/2022 17:00:00 »
This poster has repeatedly ignored moderator requests to:
-  keeping to topic and not ranting.
- not reopen a closed thread
- post only in New Theories section

This topic has been previously published elsewhere by the op, however we cut him some slack to allow discussion and defence of his ideas, but he has now resorted to more off topic rants and has also used non-family friendly language.

He also needs to note that his maths has been commented on by @Halc who is to be commended for taking the trouble to answer a very confused piece of pseudomaths which demonstrates very poor understanding of both the maths and physics by the op.

For the above reasons this poster is now banned.

I'll patent it and donate the patent rights to charity.
Have you checked whether you can patent this?
You have already made it public which limits your ability to patent it. The US has a limited grace period, but most other countries do not.
In addition, the mechanism is well known and it doesn’t matter whether Bessler claimed to be the inventor, it is still in the public domain.
So, even if you have a working model, in order to avoid a utility rejection, it is very unlikely you will be able to patent it.

General Science / Re: How does heating from air conditioners vs radiators compare?
« on: 11/10/2022 08:57:53 »
Quote from: marwaroy on 11/10/2022 08:52:26
Differences between heating from air conditioners and radiators. One is that air conditioners tend to be more efficient, meaning they use less energy to produce the same amount of heat. Additionally, air conditioners repair circulate for air condenser.

Sorry mate, you are beginning to feel the heat from spamming.
Better cool off for a while, bye

Perhaps you should look at what happened when they did earlier this year

When a loved one dies, often they leave behind medical equipment such as walking aids, breathing machines, cardio monitors, etc. What is usually the best option?:
1. Keep 'em for sentimental purposes.
2. Sell or auction them.
3. Donate them.
4. Keep them in case you might need them

Even by the standards of New Theories this is the most incredible gibberish I’ve come across.
As has been said, it is impossible to make any sense of what you are saying it is so incorrect.

General Science / Re: Radon Gas
« on: 23/09/2022 22:51:50 »
The real problem comes with poor ventilation which allows the concentration of gas to build up and long term exposure can increase lung cancer risk.
There is info here along with details of official test kits and how to decide whether you need to increase ventilation.

PS I don’t think you should be buying a kit from the link you have been sent. Contact your local council

I remind you that this is the "new theories" subforum where logic, science and common sense are frowned upon, if not totally banished.
By the OPs, true.
However, we do draw a line. For example, if someone frequently misrepresent a known fact or theory then that can be a good reason to censure or lock a thread.

PS thanks for keeping us on track and reminding us that is is the duty of all New Theorists to be as whacky as they can

The Greeks used the word to describe the milky way and Chaucer uses it for the same in the 1300s

You understand what flying mean or not ?
This thread has the hallmarks of descending into another slanging match and is therefore locked.

By the way:
1 : to move in or pass through the air with wings. 2 : to move through the air or before the wind eg Paper was flying in all directions. 3 : to float or cause to float, wave, or soar in the wind eg fly a kite, fly a flag.

There must have been a big melt before the freezing encroached back on them?
Not necessarily. I start to put on extra woolies well before the snows.
Easy even in uk winter to be caught in a sudden snow squall and get frozen to death, happen most years.
That’s not to say there wasn’t a big melt, just that it’s not necessary for your frozen woolly.

I suspect that the flood stories are so widespread because in early times many people didn’t travel far and so a local flood might seem to cover the whole world. Add in a bit (or a lot) of exaggeration and hills become mountains. Also remember that old folks tend to tell some pretty tall stories about what it was like back in the day!

- I think "galaxy" throws it, since only really took off after Hubble's discoveries during WW2
The Greeks used the word to describe the milky way and Chaucer uses it for the same in the 1300s. I suppose they didn’t have much day to day usage in written works, hence low count. Look before 1800 and there are some interesting peaks:

Interesting your comment on land/country, the Jews were promised a land flowing with milk and honey. On the other hand it might refer to ‘a lot’ as in there are a lot of stars in the milky way.
The syntax is odd, may be the OPs usage?
