Dear poisvictim

do not ever think to suicide even if any thing of this word has happened,
do not masturbate, make sex just with a female, and do it just before sleeping at night, and try to reduce the no. of having sex, then your life will be changed....

Hi, i started this thread on reddit - hopefully this is the final chapter:

"Hi,

Ive been able to get rid of pois by using cbd tea and ginger tea - both potent antiinflammatories. They also reach the gut....

Step 2 for me has been to do a KETO/LCHF diet with almost no carbs for two weeks. Ive also added homemade BONE BROTH - to heal the gut. I will add sauerkraut further on. Keto means that you get your energy from fat, instead of from carbs.

People recommending lchf/keto diets mean that diabetes, depression, autoimmune diesases (?) etc evolved at the same time when people started feeding from agricultural sources. Maybe we should just eat what we could get directly from nature? - fish/chicken/meat, vegetables, healthy fats. And eat the whole animal - make bone broths.

Bone broth contains glutamine, glycine and other vital amino acids for gut health.

Maybe weve been suffering from low grade inflammation in the gut from carbodydrates - and the gut needs to heal, through bone broth and by eliminating industrial carbs?

Check out the GAPS-diet, and you might also check out this documentary https://www.netflix.com/se/title/80238655

Im feeling healthier day by day, both mentally and physically by doing this. And my pois seems to go away. ive still used cbd oil, but maybe i dont need to.

Could more people cut down on carbs and drink bone broth daily for like 2 weeks and report back?

Maybe healing the gut with  bone broth is the culprit?

Best regards,
akt1

(i started bone borth due to being hit by  digestive issues, but maybe its all related.)"

Hey guys. Just want to post my story to add more to the database. (I wrote the first part of this post in November I believe)

I have been dealing with POIS since I was 17 years old, getting worse every year, and now I am 23. I have tried many medications with limited success.

Symptoms
-Brain fog
-Anxiety, social anxiety
-Fatigue
-Eyes hurt
-Loss of motivation, mild depression
-Pain
-Loss of appetite

I have a history of moderate drug use. First was marijuana when I was 15-18 years old on and off. I had my first panic attack from it and got anxiety for the first time in my life which got better but never went away to how it was before.

I used adderal on and off as well, sometimes using high doses very occasionally. I have since not used any alcohol or drugs in 4+ years besides marijuana which I also quit 6 months ago after using for a short period again. In this period it seemed marijuana used before orgasm would help the POIS.

I have done a lot of blood tests, as well as a mineral hair analysis. I will post them all below.

I have two sets of thyroid labs. The first - 3 months ago, the second - a few weeks ago after taking 75 mcg T4 for a month. Iron, ferritin and ceruloplasmin about 10 months ago. I'll check it all again in a month or two. I take zinc picolinate 45 mg, sodium-copper-chlorophyllin 12 mg, 100 mcg tocotrienols, lithium orotate 5 mg, vitamin K2 mk7 100 mcg.

Ceruloplasmin 20 (18-36 mg / dL)
Ferritin 46 (20-345ng / mL)
Iron 80 (50-195mcg / dL)
TSH 13.94 (0.40-4.50mIu / L)
Free T4 0.8 (0.77-1.50ng / dL)

TSH 1.652 (0.360- 5.490microInter.Units / mL)
Free T4 1.12 (0.77-1.50ng / dL)

SODIUM 139 135-146 mmol / L
POTASSIUM 4.4 3.5-5.3 mmol / L
CALCIUM 9.7 8.6-10.3 mg / dL
CHLORIDE 103 98-110 mmol / L
Magnesium 2.1 (1.5-2.5mg / dL)

Vitamin B12 845 (211-911pg / mL)
Folate 6 (0.9-15.6ng / mL)
Vitamin D 35 (30-100ng / mL)

Testosterone 542 (300-1080ng / dL )
Zinc 85 (60-120mcg / dL)
Copper 67 (70-140mcg / dL)
WBC 3.8 (4.5-11.0x10'3 / microL)
RBC 5.52 (4.20-6.10x10'3 / microL)
HGB 16.4 (11.6-17.6g / dL)
Platelet 143 (125-400x10'3 / microL)
MPV 12.6 (9.3-12.0fL)
Glucose 93 (65-99mg / dL)

These tests from 5 months ago
Estrone 31 (
Prolactin 11 (2-18ng / mL)
Estradiol 20 <OR = 39pg / mL)
Progesterone 0.5 (<1.4ng / mL)
Ferritin 46 (20-345ng / mL)
Iron 80 (50-195mcg / dL)
TIBC 330 (250-425mcg / dL)
% Saturation 24 (15-80%)
Selenium 112 (63-160 mcg / L)
RBC Magnesium 5.6 (4.0-6.4 mg / dL)

Ca / Mg ratio- 9.16, NA / K- 1.73, Zn / Cu 20.9, Ca / K 25.82, Na / Mg 0.61, Fe / Cu 0.52.

Hypothyroidism, low cortisol, low testosterone (fixed, taking zinc picolinate 45 mg per month. Low zinc levels (fixed with zinc) Low copper levels, low ceruloplasmin, very high levels of arsenic on HTMA, iron levels are quite good.

A few things to note. I have a very strong libido, even when my testosterone was very low. I also have a very difficult time refraining from porn. POIS worse from porn + masturbation vs. sex. It seems that I have a dopamine problem, because I am always craving things like junk food, sugar, porn, etc. When I watch porn even without orgasm, my body starts to shiver and I get cold and shaky. Which would lead me to think an adrenal problem.

I have not eaten corn gluten corn or soy for 4 years, as a result of which my antibodies to Hashimoto reached normal levels.

I refrained from porn / masturbation for 4 months of this year, in which I felt much better, but not 100%. I was still having sex during that time.

I am going to do more blood tests in about a month and later on a mineral hair analysis.

Update as of December-
I got a blood test again and here are the results. Aldosterone was EXTREMELY low. And the reverse t3 is high. Based on these results, I'm going to reduce sodium intake and raise potassium, and also take licorice root to raise aldosterone. Also try DHEA. This is after taking 75 mcg T4 and 15 mcg T3 during the month. Also chlorophyll for copper (6-8 mg per day). I will work up to 25mcg to T3. I'm going to stop the t4 for a bit and use only t3 lower reverse t3, and then try to add in a small dose of t4 again.

Aldosterone <1 ng / dL
of ACTH 18 (6-50pg / mL)
of Cortisol 10.9 (4.0-22.0mcg / dL)
the Free t3 4.3 (2.3-4.2pg / mL)
the Free t4 1.4 (0.8-1.8 ng / dL)
Reverse t3 22 (8-25ng / dL)
Ferritin 127 (20-345ng / mL)
Prolactin 7.9 (2-18ng / mL)
Testosterone 500 (250-827ng / dL)
TSH 0.05 (0.4-4.5mIU / L)
Estradiol 16 (<OR = 39pg / mL)
Vitamin D, 25-OH 53 (30-100ng / mL)
Vitamin D, 1.25 (OH) 2 36 (18-72pg / mL)

My theory for why I have POIS is a mix of the following:
-Adrenal fatigue
-Hypothyroidism
-Low dopamine and serotonin (Low serotonin= high sex drive) from drug use

Hopefully this post helps someone else with similar issues. I will keep updating

 Hi
Our POIS Research Team,

The first step to get amedicine to our pois is just to know that the only reason  of pois is masturbation, any man will never get  pois if he do not masturbate, if we( men) do it with a female, we will never have pois, if yoy ask any pois man If he had masturbation, then the answer will be surely yes.
Mast. Is un natural, but having sex with female is natural, for me (and must be for all) if i have sex with my wife I will get less symtoms than with masturbation.
Long time ago l use Mast. To have fun for 3 or 4 time a day then I became sick, some members of our forum use some medicine or food... And them had some health but not cured,  now adays I do it with my wife just before sleeping at night to have less symtoms, but we hope to discover a medicine,  if any young want to be sick in pois he just have to masturbation several times aweek,  if we get red of brain fog it will be a good step(what is happening in our brain while masturbation, why l feel this sensation in my hed) , so to be clear again you must know that pois is aresult of masturbation, please try to help us...

Hello everybody,
I'm new and I have just subscribed to this forum!
I'm an Italian 34 man and have (maybe?) this problem since 26 year old.
I want to clarify that I have anxiety, fatigue and poor digestion also when abstaining from masturbation or sex, but symptoms are far worse after orgasm.
The symptoms starts 8-10 hours after orgasms and are:
-bad anxiety with panic attacks
-intense sweating
-light sensitivity
-restlessness and impatient
-irritability
-nightmares and migraine
-poor digestion and reflux
-cold and sweaty hands and feet
-excess urination
In relation to reflux, sometimes when anxiety is high I can find some blood in the saliva, only when get up.

For me, the problem is linked with too much adrenaline.

Done blood check and all is fine except elevated uric acid.
Does anybody here have elevated urici acid in relation with POIS?
Do you also have problem when abstaining?
In this thread I read that many of you have "social" anxiety, do you also have "health" anxiety?

Hope to find a cure here!

Hello all,

I am new around here and wanted to share my insights. I have noticed that most (if not all) of the POIS symptoms were similar to the symptoms of Meningitis.

Has anybody in here ever tested for meningitis before?

Hi everyone,

sorry in advance for my messy english, Im in my first day of post-orgasm condition and my brain is in off-mode now..

I would like to ask for your advice. How do you find life power to live every day with your problem? What do you do? What is your solution?

I'm a woman, 37 y.o. For 15 yers I have POIS like symptoms after orgarm. Several years ago I decided to stop having orgarm..so I could live for some time without this awuful post-orgasmic condition.. But 2 years ago my life started to be out of my control.. because since then an orgasm has come involuntary during my sleep. Its unpedictable for me when it comes in a sleep next time..I perceive it not like a pleasure in my dream, but like a nightmare.. Somethimes it happens  only ones in 14 days, but sometimes up to 2 times a week. I recover from it for 3-4 days as a rule. So on a week when it comes twice, I have only 1 day "hangover" free...  So I cant work, I  cant built normal social relationships... Im afraid, I dont have enough life power to raise my 2 years old child..

Thanks a lot for any advice.

Wishing you all many healthy and happy days

Best wishes from Germany,
Tanya

Hi Tanya, sorry to hear about your condition. Try reading pages 1007 and 1008 on this forum. There are some interesting success stories using vitamin D mega doses and ginger tea.

Hello all,
If I have a real and permanent cure for POIS, is there a way I can monetize it while helping all patients?

Hi all! On page 165 here a poster has mentioned PDE4 might be involved in POIS: https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=6576.msg224516#msg224516

11 years after that post I am taking a PDE4 blocker (Drotaverine) and it makes my POIS symptoms (brain fog, stomach inflammation, fatigue, depression) more bearable. It's the first thing that has an effect on me! So far nothing else has helped me. Please, look PDE4 up and I hope sciences start to investigate this link.

Blessings to all! :)

Hi,

Can pois be all about too much GLUTAMATE?

Glutamate is a exitatory neurotransmitter (you get "jacked up").
In a healthy person Glutamate should be converted into GABA ( the inihibitory/calming neurotransmitter).

But the enzyme that does this (glutamate decarboxylase) needs to be working! it does not work for everyone ( for example mthfr-mutation can defect it).

Things that regulate/lower Glutamate are:
CBD, Ginger, Niacin(?), Taurine and NAC.... And methylated vitamin b-s.

An most people with pois seem to get relief from GABA-ergic/GABArelated supplements -> meaning the glutamate has not converted into GABA...?

Do people with pois have a defect Glutamate-GABA-conversion?

GLUTAMATE seems to raise 300% in rats during ejaculation?

What if it does not get converted into GABA....? - then you get "jacked/doped up"!?

Symptoms of too much Glutamate:

To lower GLUTAMATE and turn it into GABA Check out:
Cbd, Taurine, methylated/active vitamin B-s and especially NAC (?)

We got this....
Hoping to finish this
Disease...!

Check out defect glutamate-gaba-conversion mates...

peace and bless!

If this theory can get rid of pois i guess then pois can be all about:

1. Making the enzyme Glutamate decarboxylase start working
2. Or lowering glutamate with amino acids like Taurine and/or NAC

... what do you think?
at least then there is something concrete to work on.

I for one get autistic traits and can not socialize from - what i guess is too much glutamate. These traits go away with NAC, Taurine and methyl vitamin bīs.

How do you best lower glutamate and/or make the enzyme Glutamate decarboxylase to start working?

Glutamate -> needs a working -> Glutamate decarboxylase enzyme -> in order to turn Glutamate into -> GABA...

( i think celiac disease/gluten can also disrupt the function of Glutamate decarboxylase which might explain why lchf diet can work for some?)
