Are painkillers safe to have after a vaccine/jab?
« on: 20/01/2022 10:46:22 »
Malcolm has been puzzled over his findings and wants an answer to this question.

"Is it OK to take painkillers after 2 jabs. Even my surgery is, clear on this, Its, just for back pain. Doesn't seem to be a definitive answer."

Taking painkillers before a vaccination is thought to increase the chances that the vaccine doesn't work- you want the inflammation that triggers the immune system to react to the vaccine and confer protection.

However once the immune system has reacted to it, and caused symptoms, it is different. Being allowed to take painkillers after the covid vaccine to deal with symptoms was part of the protocol they used when testing, so it's not likely to be a problem.
