My sig got me thinking.
Why culture? Do they visit art galleries, or go to the opera? Do they have the works of Dostoevsky in their library? Do they raise their pinkies when drinking tea? Do they address themselves as "one" and talk to geraniums?
Well? What's the answer? [

Amazingly, while conversing with my geranium friend, Collin, a few days ago, this subject came up. The geranium said "One should never deprecate another's culture as this only leads to tension and arguments between cultures. If one does this, great misunderstandings are generated."
This caused We to think of the French bacteria who gave a literary lecture at the Louvre concerning the meaning of John-Paul Sarte's work. We attended. It was quite enlightening.
"We said to my friend, Collin Geranium, "One thing We did learn was that this bacteria's temper was rather bad. A Pole, We believe, criticized one of that bacterias conclusions about an opera based on an existentialist premises. Soon, the whole audience was in an uproar.
Therefor, We suggests one never argue with a bacteria while other people are present. A bacteria's temper is quite infectious." Collin was so struck by the remark he momentarily let his little finder touch is teacup. We have not spoken since. Poor manners are not to be tolerated, however overcome with emotion one becomes.
