Title: Could the Boxing Day Tsunami have been triggered by an EM pulse?
Post by: Naufal the B. S. on 05/08/2009 23:55:04
Dear all,

do you remember about hindian tsunami? Yes, it's a natural disaster. But, yesterday, i readed an article which told about man-made hindian tsunami!
Is it true? If it true, how did they made a 20 meter wave with an EM wave?
(sorry for my bad english)

It is not true.  EM (Electromagnetic) Pulses can induce large electrical currents in electrical devices and power networks, and cause damage to them, but they couldn't be used to cause tsunamis, landslides, or anything like that.
