Title: Please explain the job of a Neurologist?

I think I know that they deal with more nerves and such or at least that is there specialty! Can someone explain why a Neuroligist would be recomended for persistent arm pain?

Pain isn't always from where you think it is! A trapped nerve in, for example, the spine, can give your brain the signal that the pain is from the leg, arm, back........ so you would need a nerve specialist to determine the actual cause of the pain!

This is called "referred pain".
