Should I keep doing PCR tests instead of LFTs?
« on: 22/02/2022 12:06:08 »
James would like some clarification & help on answering this question.

"I have taken 4 LFTs over the past few weeks, which showed a faint but discernible line at the "T" mark. This indicates a positive covid result and the web and kit instructions say such results should be treated as such. However I have also done confirmatory PCR tests which have all come back negative. This says the LFTs' results are false positives. NB I have used different batches of test kits. I have been triple jabbed and can confirm I have covid antibodies in my blood.

1.  Why is do I consistently get false positive LFTs please?

2. Also what am I to believe now when I do LFTs? Can I trust them in my case? Should I simply keep doing PCR tests instead?
"
