Do the lenses in our eyes move in order to focus?
« on: 05/10/2007 05:20:27 »
Does the natural lenses of our eyes actually move when we see distant or near objects, cuz it does feel like it when i focus my eyes from far objects to near ones.

Mod edit - formatted the subject as a question.  Please try to do this to help keep the forum tidy and easy to navigate - thanks!

The shape of the lens is altered by the muscles of the iris so that near or far objects can be brought into focus on the retina. If that is what you call 'moving' [:)]
