will my clothesline, 50' double line on pulleys & added pulley/support @ center of hung load, last longer if I keep it tight with tightening gizmo OR should I let it sag without tightening?.....thanx

I think it should last a bit longer if you let it sag - at least a bit. If you tried to remove all the sag when it was loaded with wet clothes, you would probably exceed its tensile strength and it would snap.

A bit expensive, but if you got vinyl coated stainless cable... your stretching would be minimal.

THANX! makes sense..the 2 ends of the line join into a line tightening gizmo that allows for pulling & tightening the slack/sag of the line. Maybe i should add a spring between the gizmo & where the line connects to the gizmo?
