Dear Chris,

First of all I would like to thank you for such a great podcast (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/), great topics and speakers - the whole show (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/) is just fantastic! I listen to your podcast (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/) since years and I really enjoy it.

I have a question which maybe you will be able to ask and answer during a show.

I was wondering why when we have a hair loss we lose the hair only from the head but not from anywhere else (arms, legs, armpit)? Is it so because of hormones but if yes then how does it work? and also if we would transplant some hairs form our ams to head and they would growth there would they become as long as a normal head-hair would become or they would always stay short?

I am looking forward to hearing from you

best regards

Jadwiga Schreiber
