Ive recently conceived of a possible way to create a sort of holographic device...
It would use ultrasonic levitation to lift tiny particles to different heights, filling up the holographic space, and these particles could have the property (if it is possible idk) of emitting light when struck by different EM waves...
that way, given vary accurate aiming and targetting and perhaps a red green and blue version of each molecule, would it be theoretically possible to have this produce a 3 D image that was semi transparent and stuff? A hollogram?

yeh, what i need to find is
1. What sort of particles have the property of being able to, for a small amount of time, emit red green or blue light when hit by an invisible beam of some sort and being levitated ultrasonically to different heights (to create a 3d feild of pixels) and peing mostly invisible to the naked eye when not turned "on"
2. is it possible to aim some sort of invisible-to-the-naked-eye-beam at a specific, tiny point in that feild, without triggering other pixels...

the levitation would take massive amounts of control: 1 for finding the right emmiting force that would be able to counteract gravity exactly at the right distance from the current gravity force, and even more control that might affect the particles, the ever moving air mollecules in the air, and the forces of the breathing from the people watching the hologram.
A solution: Perhaps we could "marry" sets of two atoms each: one of lead, and the other of any neon element. Setting these sets of particles inside a glass dome or cube, with mini electromagnetic and electric emmitters, using the magnetism to form the images, and the electricity to activate the neon.
Of course this is still beyond any type of control we have with these things, so it is still far off in the future.
Do we have any magnetics/ultrasonic/electric/holographic experts who like to visit this site?
As a side note, did you notice that star wars still uses holograms in black and white? Even they aren't fully developed!
