A very gruesome site? There's a story that Merlin performed such a spell on someone that offended him in the 5th century AD, which was witnessed by a child. He didn't know a spell to mentally heal the child, but after a month or two he eventually came around and started talking again.

Humans don't have exoskeletons, so I presume you just meant "skeleton". I believe a spontaneously-disappearing skeleton would result in death by asphyxiation. Without a ribcage for support, I imagine the lungs would collapse and the diaphragm wouldn't have a sturdy surface to work against.

Medieval knights had an exoskeleton (of sorts)...

Losing your armour in a battle would probably shorten your life expectancy by a considerable amount...

I once found a skeleton in the woods. When we called the authorities they sent an apb out for a boneless person.

Fairy tales are not physiology and medicine.
