There are plenty of knowledgable physicists here and I'm sure they'll tell you what they think. *Just remembered last time something like this happened*. But I am warning you, beware, you might come under some criticism!

It would help if you make sure that they are consistent with present evidence - in detail - before you tell us about them.
Look before you leap.

If your "theories" stand up to intense scientific scrutiny, then choosing peer reviewed journals is the best bet. However, it is an arduous process due to the levels at which the reviewers work. But, if your theories are as ground-breaking as you claim, then there ought not be too much of a problem! Once they are published in a journal, you own the "intellectual copyright".

If you do write up your ideas, it would also be best to use non-phone based English. That means, stop using "U R gr8" and so on. In order to convey understanding, the use of abbreviated and/or text-talk is probably not the best way to go.

That someone will copy your theory is probably your least worry. The thing you should worry about is will someone think your theory represents what is real.

Why not follow the advice of Chemistry4me and publish in the New Theories forum. I'll go there and discuss it with you. I promise I won't abscond with it [:)]

HOW DID U PUBLISH U R THEORY IN U R WEB SITE ??
Check your Caps Lock Button; I think it is stuck [:)]
I built my web site using a plain text editor; signed up with my telephone company for DSL internet access; I got a $8 Fedora Linux Operating system from CheepBytes.com; I installed Linux, set up the Apache web server and away we went.
It is not that difficult, but I have to spend a lot of time fending off spammers.

Thanks for the comments !!

All caps in a forum is SHOUTING. But it loses its effect when everything is caps. I'm old enough to remember when ALL CAPS was the only text there was. So we don't want to go back to the old way [:)]

My 8080 computer running CPM has upper and lower case, what were you using ?

I bought Apple Computer serial No. 50 for $1700 dollars. It had 16K of ram in it and if you used graphics it took 8K for the graphics screen. Now that I think back it had upper and lower case. I worked for Teletype Corp in the 50's and we made the old glass domed Stock Tickers that only had upper case.

The Apple II didn't have a floppy at first. But you could use 1/4 inch magnetic tape to store and retrieve data. You used a regular tape player connected to an audio port on the computer. It didn't have a monitor; you had to use a TV set; and to use the TV you had to have a Modulator that you could buy extra.

you can go to the new theories page on this site if you want but you should make yourself a web page and explain your ideas.

If you want to publish any theory I suggest you start reading publications made by others in reputable sites. IEEE publications are not a bad place to start. It is important to use clear English - no abbreviations as suggested by a previous post, avoid common slang and make sure your argument is clear, logically presented and coherent. You should start with an abstract outlining what you are going to say - usually 150 words, no waffle. Then begin with an introduction, followed by your main discussion topics, and a final summary/conclusion. Use citations from other authors so that you don't get criticized for plagiarism. If your theory is novel, explain this and where current theories fail. It is imperative to explain clearly how your theory explains observations that others do not. I suggest that you use definite examples, referenced to known facts and results published already. Arm waving and vague, unsupported claims will quickly result in your ideas, even if valid, being instantly dismissed. Writing a well positioned article is not an easy task, requires self scrutiny and if nothing else, the process of self appraisal will definitely fine tune your ideas into crystal clarity.

It is unlikely that anyone will steal your ideas but if you think you might have some commercial application later on, then considering a patent application could be worthwhile. A patent application is expensive and could cost $20,000 for example. However you can register (pre-patent) your application as being your own IP for ~ $50 from memory. This will at least time-stamp your IP. Also add a copyright symbol on your text to indicate copyright!

Finally, some publishers may offer to publish your theory for free. For example LAP may do this if you email the Editor. They will check your manuscript for suitability and if they accept it, will apply any editing required. If it sells, you may get a commission. However, your reading audience may be low in numbers! In any case, having ideas is to be commended, but effective communications is essential if you want to transport that new gem of understanding to other minds. Also, many ideas fall back to the drawing board many times before something realistic emerges - scientific discovery is riddled by such occurrence  ;D
