Title: What Makes A Person Cry?
Post by: Jimbee on 22/02/2024 11:24:33
Do people only cry only when they're sad? Can they cry when they're happy?

I remember, there was a study done in the US in the late 80's. They said you only cry when you're sad. You may cry at a wedding, for example. But it's because something about it is making you sad.

That doesn't make sense, at least to me. When you cry at at wedding it's always because you're happy. Or people cry out of pride, when they are overwhelmed by emotion. Or when they are very very happy.

So do you only cry whey you're sad? What research has been done since the 80's study (I forget the name of it or when it came out)?
