Title: QM slit experiment.

Hi,

I was wondering that what would happen if we put the detector in a slope mode rather than standing behind the slit. I have no option to draw here and tell yo what am i talking about.

I meant to say is this, if you put the rock with sloping slide and if wave hits the rock than obviosly the wave will wet the botton of the rock first and as you increase the power of the wave it will wet the rock's peak gradually.

Right noe standing detector after the slit is just like a flat rock in the way of the way and it gets wet at a time. you cannot say that weather wave was coming upwards or going downwards when it hit the rock.

If electron moves as a wave than it must leave wave like structure on the sloppy detector.

There is also an another way of measuring the wave like movement.

Lets not put the detector at all in the way of the electron. let it travel on its own and dropped on to a detector horizontally. Its like puting a paper on the ground and throw the water in a wave. The very initially marking will show the wave like structure but if you put the paper vertically and than throw the wave it will not leave mark as a wave but it will just wet the paper randomly and it is also affected by the paper's property.



I have seen the videos but again it just comes out as a dotted line accross the detector. I am not sure how come anyone say that whatever marking we are having is only of an electron that has been shooted and nothig else. (like electrons from the environmental molecules. It may be possible that negative charge of the electron repelled the environmental electron and they got detected on the detector just by giving the space to the actual electron)

PLease let me know, what could happen or what kind of pattern we will see on the detector in above experiments.

It would help if you could explain what this is intended to show. What sort of conclusion do you intend to reach by the running of this experiment?

Hi,

there may be three hypothesis for this phenomena according to me,

first one:

I am just troubled with the weird property praposed by the QM. I see no sense in accepting that eletron moves in the wavy motion. I am also troubled that one pure electron will not react with the environment. I mean if the laws of gravity is right than it should be applicable on the electron as well. Why would not electron path will be interfeared with the gravity excert by the slit itself?

When you shoot the electron without sleet there is no problem but when you put the slit in a way and you find this weird results. I mean the mass of the electron is so small when compare to the slit mass or the earth mass itself.

I am assuming that weird behaviour is nothing but the gravity effect of the earth or the slit on the electron. The gravity forced some of the electron to divert from their path and hit the detector at different place.

The second hypothesis is this,

If electron carries the negative charge than definately it will also repell the electron in the environment. If you see the results closely than you will notice that maximum electron detection is occured right in the middle part of the slit which blocks the electrons. It may be because its a closet area of the electrons passing through the slit and they are repelling the enviroment electrons to make a way for them. It may be the main reason why we see most of the detection (higher density) right in the area where it blocks the electrons.

As per both hypothesis,

either electron is itself directed in a different path due to the gravitional forces or electron's negative charge forces other environmental electrons to be detect on the detector.

The third one is this,

Other thing is if you throw the water through a cannon than there is a no way that water can move like a wave. it may move like a way only if they hit the ground first. Have you ever seen the wave like motion of the water from the pipe? How come electron is able to overcome the moving force of going straight through its shooter? It must hit the ground first and than should rebounce in the random directions. The detector is just detecting the bounced electron from the slit surface.

Lets put the detector on the horizontal surface as well and if it shows the wavy motions than it is moving into a wavy motion.

Sir, I have no formal education of the physics in the detail but whatever knowledge I have, I think these should be the reasons for weird results on the detectors.
