the book I just finished was "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" Mark Haddon

Christopher Boone, the autistic 15-year-old narrator of this revelatory novel, relaxes by groaning and doing math problems in his head, eats red-but not yellow or brown-foods and screams when he is touched. Strange as he may seem, other people are far more of a conundrum to him, for he lacks the intuitive "theory of mind" by which most of us sense what's going on in other people's heads. When his neighbor's poodle is killed and Christopher is falsely accused of the crime, he decides that he will take a page from Sherlock Holmes (one of his favorite characters) and track down the killer.

He was the darling of the BBC not so long ago but then he insulted Manuel from Faulty Towers (the actor) by suggesting his granddaughter was easy! Now he has disappeared. He is apparently a sex addict. As I'm interested in addiction I'm finding it quite fascinating. He must be a psychiatrists wet dream.

So far it has been a very hard read as far as sadness about the events taking place..... My Goodness...There were some amazing people doing some amazing things to help during this horrible slaughter...
A nice look into the background seens of the peole struggling to save the lives of all those people and the risk and losses they experienced along side those they tried to help....

Now I picked up several kids books on the stars and atmosphere as well as the earth and sun... a new atlas and a wonderful book on the cosmos with an easily read text that is written for the likes of myself.. with wonderful pictures and explanations of how the planet was formed...I have already read 3 chapters! Easy reading and very interesting. I love that it is written so even I can understand it! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

I will finish this book in sections,,,
Any Light hearted quick reading suggestions to break up my other reading.. something happier and funny perhaps?

This version is suppose to include two sections that are not in the original two books.. one on Time travel and one on worm holes also with updates on Theoretical and observational results that were accumulated after first publication in 1988.

So far I like how easy it has been to understand.. pretty nice for me.. very simple and the illustrations do help to illuminate things better!
