He was clearly miming, but was he miming to his own voice or to the original track? I don't know the song or David Bowie well enough to be able to tell.

Original video
1969 ? didn't something significant happen space wise in 1969.  The original track was of its time.

And the new space video has Bowies authorisation.

Pretty cool I rekon, except they omitted "there's something wrong".

Thanks for that , They have kinda said the origin of that music ,if that is what you mean by "wrong"

"A revised version of David Bowie's Space Oddity, recorded by Commander Chris Hadfield on board the International Space Station.

I am watching it 3 times a day!!:))

I don't have enough bandwidth to play videos, so I still don't know if he was miming to the original or to his own version.

Music was recorded on the ground and is not original Bowie track music. Singing recorded on space station  and over dubbed by the look of it.

by "there's something wrong" I mean listen to words of the original track from which they have omitted the words "there's something wrong". Couldn't possibly say that on the space station.

In that case, assuming that it was him singing, I can finally be impressed.
