Title: Missing Part of My Finger..Whatshould I Doabout it?

First of all. Ican't type cuz my finger is messed up. AndSecond ofall. What can I do to make it come back?  I'll geta picture uploaded soon.

If you have lost a segment of the finger, and you still have that segment (e.g. the finger was severed at a joint), the pack the missing bit in ice, and go to the hospital immediately (with the missing bit) - every minute counts if there is any hope of sewing the missing part back on.

If it is only that you chopped off a small piece of flesh, but no loss of bone, then you have to seek medical advice to make sure that the wound is treated properly, but you will probably not grow back the missing bit, but you have to make the wound is treated properly so that it does not get infected and causing the requirement for amputation.

Ugh..If you look at the front of my thumb Youcan't see ANY skin on the left side of it :( :( :( :( :(. Will it ever grow back?

I thought i was going to see total mutalation :)or at least a tipless finger.

Put a plaster on it if it wont stop bleeding or leave it bear so it hardens then give it two weeks and it should have grown back.

It may even make strumming a guitar better too !!..

I am sure ewe will be fine...it feels worse than it really is !!

Of course it is out of focus but I can tell ewe've scraped off a couple of layers of skin...it WILL get better !!

It finally stoped bleeding, but if I hit it hard on something it starts right back up again. Thanks..Ukmicky..Only if Iknew your real name.

AndThose are my sisters Iwas in to much pain pressing the camera botton letalone moving the "tongs" LoL. HAHA Yeah I know they put it there not me. To much pain.

I can tell that the piccy does not do it justice and that the cut is quite severe !....allow it to dry.....though you might want to apply some antiseptic cream or something !.....if it does start bleeding ewe need to apply pressure ....wrap up in a bandage and squeeze !!.(doctors...please corroborate)


LOL..I said the same excuse when I was caught wearing my sisters stockings and suspenders and ballroom dress !!....DOH !!!!

I was going to say the same thing about the electric hair crimper.....BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....There now your finger won't hurt so bad because everything else will!!!!!! LOL

Really Ryan, you whacked a good size chunk off the side. I suspect a good portion will grow back over it and help balance it up some.. just keep it clean.. You might need a tetnus shot. What did you cut it on old knife new knife.. something with raw meat on it.. clean it well...rusty tin etc...???

Sorry Ryan about your finger.. I know it hurts, thats a nice size chunk of flesh gone!

Oh Yeah before I forget. Today it is a medium pain contantly. And once in a while a sharp one. Yesterday it was no pain, then SUPER sharp.

This normal?

I am glad you should get some layers back as it heals, but like neal said it probably will stay scared.. You should now have a very definite and Identifiable fingerprint so be a good boy! LOL

LoL. I'll be super Identifiable. Scar on my Forehead, scar on my finger, Scar on my hand heck about 20 more on my hands. LoL. Loads on my arms.

Its back to the shape it needs to be already. Just still not healed healed yet.

There is probably some amount of it scar tissue which sometimes is larger then your normal flesh not to mention swelling! You should take a new picture!
