A plant makes its seeds which store informaton on how to turn itself into a plant with seeds. Does it also give those seeds information to give its seeds and so on and so on?

The DNA in every (diploid) cell of any organism contains the information to recreate the organism as a whole.  However, depending on the location or function of the cell in the organism, different genes will be enabled or disabled.

Some of the genes include the reproductive system.

There is not really telling it how to pass the information on from generation to generation, but rather a design to merely pass the same information/design (or half of it) to the progeny.
