I think it because you body basically is saying, you have too much Sugar. Sick feeling will stop you eating anymore, it's a bodily defence. I think the same/similar as eating something poisonous, vomitting can clear much of the posion from the stomach.

My opinion off the top of my head.

Actually, I ONLY feel sick when eating chocolate. Usual candy doesn't affect me more than if I eat a stupidly amount I get a head ache..
