Title: Is Turnipsock really Cadel Evans?
Post by: Make it Lady on 16/07/2008 23:00:59
Just been watching Tour de France and noticed the current holder of the yellow jersey looks a little bit like our very own Turnipsock. I'm sure it is not him as Cadel Evans is a nasty piece of work that likes insulting and assaulting hapless Journalists. He also has an Aussie accent. As Turnie hasn't posted for a few days I wondered if he might be conserving energy for the mountain stages.

You are all wrong but it's nice for Turnipsock I hope all the same,
I guess that our Scotsman has been watching the Tour de France,
or been busy elsewhere.

Turnipsock let us know that you are ok please?

I can't see a resemblance. Maybe Shazza recognises his helmet.

That 1 in white can see something funny.

Except for the fact that Cadel Evans is an Australian and Turnipsock is a Scotsman.

Not if you've heard Turnipsock speak with a SCOTTISH ACCENT !!!

Anyway what proof do you have that Cadel Evans is an Aussie from Scotland??

Because Wiki says that Cadel Evans lives in Oz.

Now Cavendish has pulled out of the Tour de France due to "fatigue" so that the young man can concentrate on the Olympics.

You see, he is Cadel Evans. He not only lost his yellow jersey (I'm not talking putting it down somewhere and then not being able to remember where) but he has gone down to third. He looked as sick as an Australin parrot. He is having a rest day today but I bet he'll be out on his bike just the same.
Cadel Evans does have a weird accent sort of a cross between Scotish and Australian. Odd that. Turnipsock, you had a very muddy bottom on Sunday, did you fall off or was it tyre spray? I notice these thing you know.

They drive on the Right in Europe - France so yes they do need their right feet otherwise why would the cyclists put their feet on a RIGHT PEDAL !!

Just saw a baby on a bike get to the top of the big climb first today, sadly he took a corner too fast on the other side and went off down the hill. The baby was rescued by a spectator but the bike carried on down the hill the quick way. He still managed to get back in 35th place but how he did it without his bike, I don't know.

Cadel is going to get left for dead tomorrow. Turnipsock is ready for them but as he is billy no mates he hasn't got a good team to help him...ahhhh!

You can't go on a head on a tandem as you are on the same bike.

You haven't lived.

Tandem racing doesn't seem to be as popular as it used to be.

I remember Blue Peter, the popular kids TV program, did a thing about it as it was a good sport for blind people (not on the steering end). They interviewed a blind person and they had their helmet on backwards and nobody thought to mention it to them.

Does that tandem look like it going round the track in the wrong direction or is it just me?

I think the person on the front has let one go as the person on the back is trying to hold her breath.

Anyway, having your helmet on back to front sounds really painful.
