Questions about feet?

Hi.. As a women with large feet, I often wonder if there are other people with large feet who have problems finding comfortable shoes?
My foot runs between a size 8 and 1/2 USA size and a 10 USA size. Usually a good 9 and 1/2 depending on the shoe manufacturer.
What size feet do you have? Are they wide..? Narrow etc...? What kind of shoe do you prefer for like walking or standing for long periods? Casual? Dress? Sporty? Maybe just sneakers etc?
Mine are thick and triple E wide and are often swollen. better these days though!..I have a difficult time finding shoes that feel good but at the same time look good. Usually they are long enough but too narrow. Some are long enough and wide enough but the instep is to narrow thickness wise. so they hurt the top of my foot. I do not want shoe store links etc .. but just wondered how many other peopl may hav long hard to fit feet!

(UK, European size around 44), and widths anything from F (really too narrow) up to K (very very comfy).
What kind of shoe do I prefer - all things considered, none at all (at home anyway, and I don't drive in shoes). Sometimes wear flip-flops on cold floors.
Outside, I prefer something with all leather uppers, and synthetic soles (although leather soles are easier to repair, they can be too slippery). Happy with sandals when weather and situation allow.

Me too George. I am always bare feet except when I leave the house. In the summer I am bare feet even outside. I wear sandals sometimes flip flops are great! When I am freezing in the winter I wear a pair of black boots that are snow type warm wide and comfy and keep my feet dry in the bad weather. Otherwise even a light rain may find me bare foot!
I like multiple types of shoes.. I do however prefer light weight shoes, even my boots.. They are thinsulate and very light but warm. I like casual slip ons..

Karen, you don't have big feet.
Before kids I wore a size 10...after Ashley a size 11 and after Nic it went up to a size 12!!!
Since losing weight though, I'm back in a size 10, although it really depends on the shoe.
When I was young, dumb and thin, I used to live in 4 - 5" stilettos.....when I wasn't on the ball field.
Now, I do everything to avoid high heeled shoes. At home while inside it's usually bare feet or flip flops. For running errands and light shopping I usually wear my converse all stars.
For major, all day shopping or walking and working out I ONLY wear Nike shocks. They are the most comfortable trainers I've ever had! I've had 3 pair in the last year....but only cos my foot keeps shrinking and I have to get new ones. Which is fine with me cos I love getting new shoes. [
] Which makes hubby mad, but who cares.
For going out to dinner and such, it's usually something a little nicer than trainers.
I have a hard time finding comfy & attractive shoes cos I have this hateful bone that sticks out on the side, so I do prefer something wider. Unfortunately, I can rarely find nice cheap shoes.
But it's almost spring which means nothing but sandals and flip flops...YAYYYY!!!!!

I have to buy longer shoes because the width of my foot is hard to get with my coorect size of 8and 1/2 to 9. I have had to get tens just to squeeze my foot in thickness wise across the top and instep!
