Lefties are the same...  just backwards.

There have been some questions about whether the non-symmetrical areas in the brain are reversed in left handed people.  In some cases that is true, in other cases it isn't.

However, generally there is little difference to people's preference.

Handwriting is one of the things that comes up.  When you write from left to right, then when you write with your right hand, the hand doesn't cover the newly written text so you can see what you just wrote.  You also don't smudge the ink.
Left handed people generally have developed some adaptation to allow them to write without covering the letters that they are writing.

Some studies in psychology point out that lefties are over represented in the "scientific" community and under represented in the "artist" community.
