Title: why has my sense of smell improved since i stopped smoking?

why and how?
I neve noticed that somkers smelled so bad until i stopped smoking, now i can smell a smoker 'a mile off', i can even smell a difference in the brand they are smoking. why could i not do this when i was a smoker?

Probably the nicotine coated your nasal passages and just like it stains the walls your lungs etc.. blocked the smell receptors.. my uneducated opinion.
