ahhhhhhhh !!..aren't they nice ?....hmmmm...lets have a BBQ.....
but beferoe we enjoy some rib goodness can ewe tell me if a litter like this comprises of identical siblings ?..
.....do multiple births in other animals...birds...fish...spiders etc etc...comprise of identicals...because to me they all look the same anyway...
Is this a silly question ?...do ewe understand what I am trying to ask here ?..
Humans can have twins but not identical and I am assuming that the differences that are obvious to us are just as obvious to themselves in other species !!
Are baby pigs as instantly different to each other as non identical human twins are to us ?

I don't know but those are some pretty cute little piglets! LOL
-
I don't believe that multiple births in a single litter would be identical (it would make no evolutionary sense for them to be so - the diversity in genes would give a greater chance that at least some of them would survive).

THANK YOU GEORGE.
I wonder if any studies have ever been done to discover this or not as to view them one would never really know.

Here is what I could find off the net! Yes there can be identical twins 22 markers out of 25 I think it said! which is a yes..It is interesting!

I don't know that we need that much studying on the matter. If all the members of a litter were genetically identical, they should all be the same sex. As I understand it, when bitches or cats have offspring, they will tend towards mixing of sexes in the same litter.

Thanks Karen.....good reasearching !!

Sorry it was so much.. I just thought it was interesting and pertained to what you had asked about!
