... I got angry the other day, but that time is was miniscule. Now the impunity shown towards me is more than that.

Yes. Myn teaching has very little influence here, not relative however, to the massive dose of displeasure i have had to deal with here. So when weighing the two, i truely have no influence, nor do i have reflection.

Massive dose of displeasure? Are you serious? What did you expect would happen in your mind, that you could post whatever you like and no one would take critism to you? Obedient students who question nothing you say and take it all for gospel?
If you really are a scientist you'll know that what you've experienced here is nothing to the criticising peer review you will experience in the real world.
You can either refute criticism with logical arguments or you can get emotional, start calling people ignorant and then start a thread announcing your dramatic departure for some attention.

No Sorry is an apology. You are new and are forgetting that we have shared our ups and downs over the past months and in some cases years. We also know each others strengths and weaknesses. We will welcome you to this forum if you treat its members with respect and treat their opinions and intelligence with respect.
I have learnt through experience that when you are new to anything you should sit back and watch how people interact before you dive in and try to be superior. You may be superior but you need to do it with respect.
God guy, take a deep breath and start again. Read the replies as opinion and not attack. If we do attack it is only playful. You are so like my son. You are very, very clever but don't know how to interact.

Anyone would think that being on these forums was compulsory. If you don't like it, then don't get involved.
There are some rules, which we stick to. The Mods keep an eye on things. But there is a limit.
Criticism is one of the main aspects of most forums. Many of the contributors are younger than you might think and not everyone knows the best way to put things.
It is not a good idea to join a group like this and expect to get 'appreciation' from anyone. It's SHOW BIZ, for God's sake!

Criticism is one thing. One must have criticism to move forward in the world with a bit of dignity.
But when plain efforts are flouted in their face, you remove that dignity, so then whats the point in moving forward?

Hi Chemisty4, thanks for quoting me but as I don't know what has happened to upset Mr Sc I don't know if I've been correctly quoted. All I know is that Physics threads seem to provoke the most emotion on this forum usually because most of the stuff can not be proved yet and every physicist has a pet theory on most topics. To all new people tread carefully to begin with and to all old stagers please me gentle with our new delicate buds. Sermon over. We will now sing him number 69.

wow, how come every time I happen to come back, you're right behind me?
but anyway, Mr. Scientist, I don't know what you posted, but i'm sure that I could easily have detected several inaccuracies... judging from the fact that the good people of this forum have already. Knowing myself, I would do my best to pick it apart, forcing the one who posted said theory to either revise it, or drop it. I have several of my own opinions that people on this forum don't seem to agree with (heathens, all of them!! [^]), and I do my best to revise them to become more scientifically accurate.
taking such critisism and altering your own perceptions while taking them into account is an important part of personal growth... it just doesn't do you good to make a scene on how you are so mistreated.
