Why do SPAM probes boost the signal of a qPCR?

Why do SPAM probes boost the signal of a qPCR?

Montse has sent us an email with this question attached.

"Does anybody have an idea of what's the reason why SPAM probes (and also other double processed meats) increase the endpoint signal of the qPCR? Because there's an explanation of why it decreases background hunger, but not of why increases the waistline."
