I'm having a problem tracking down the people who own and operate a website. So I've decided to track down the company who hosts the website. Does anybody know how that can be done? Thanks.
In future, please phrase titles as a question - Mod.

Dear Peter
Sounds complicated, but it's pretty simple actually, unless people are taking steps to make themselves hard to find.
Type: whois <website TLD> into Google.
Here's our's, for our host server, nakeddiscovery.com:
http://whois.domaintools.com/nakeddiscovery.com
You'll see it returns details of the nameservers and ISP etc.
Chris
P.S. Can we have the title of your post phrased as a question please! ;)

If you want to see what other people think of the website,
"Web Of Trust" [WOT (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WOT_Services)] is worth a look ,
e.g. https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/thenakedscientists.com
Occasionally you will find leads in WOT comments which are of use when investigating a suspicious website.
[ bear in mind anyone post on WOT ].

I need help. I entered
http://whois.domaintools.com/physforum.com
since it's the stalkers and flame warriors at www.physforum.com who are cyberstalking and enraging me with extremely hurtful comments such as the assertion that I faked having Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). You'd have to have had it, or something similar, have happen to you to know what a horrible thing that is to have people say about you to understand how I feel about it.

Contacting the moderators of the forum would be the first port-of-call ...

Some "trolls" in forums will try to say the most offensive thing imaginable.
They enjoy causing distress , so just ignore them , ( some forums have a user-control-panel where you can select not to be shown their posts by making them as a "foe" ).
trolling ...now refers to someone who engages in discussions purely to provoke or annoy. Because trolls take away from productive work, the ideal response is to starve the troll of attention by ignoring it and going about your usual business ...

If ignored they tend to escalate their offending which should lead to their expulsion from the forum.

After a certain anount of time that's what I do. However in some cases they'll find an item which causes severe emotional trauma such as recally my past experience with an illness that I had and then using it to flame me. That infuriates me very deeply. People simply shouldn't be allowed to do that to others.

you claim to ignore and yet here you are on another site, behind everyone's back, rampaging[as usual, for decades now] with your fictitious claims. anyone can read what you will not show.

In windows , "Net view" is a good command to show the result of to old ladies if you live in a terrace or block of flats and there are plenty of "over mains game stations" through the buildings(wonder if the result would be any different if the flats were beside Buckingham palace, they're all alike).
