DearestPeeps Of Academic Awareness,
As a sheepy I of course luff drying myself. Yep, drying myself is all I think about all day long and I will go out of my to drench myself purely so that I can dry myself . Ewe have to admit that the person who invented the act of drying oneself after a shower or bath stuff was well klev.
Check this hand drier out ?

A Hand Drier
We have one at work and it's like really good...it's so good that I purposely do not shake the excess water off my hands before using it. Stick em in there and ten seconds later my hands are like..well dry. As are the cuffs of my shirt and suit .
What I would like to know is ....is it possible to make a body sized version of this ? Ewe can get out the shower and ten seconds later on ewe are dry !......as much as I luff towels and towel drying having one of these built into the shower unit/cubicle would be really good.
whajafink ?.....can these things be engineered to deal with a body cos I've only ever seen hair drier and hand driers !

You can make them big enough to dry a car with, used at the local carwash. Though I admit that the car drier is a really power hungry device, and it blows a large volume of air over the car, drying it in a few seconds as you drive slowly though. The problem of having it in a bathroom is that it will be really big, and as well will use a lot of power, plus creating a lot of wind around the bathroom. A towel is a lot smaller, and can be stored in a smaller place.

One that's mounted in a shower cubicle could be less energy intensive.
I'm sure we've all noticed how the bathroom can be significantly cooler than the damp air in the cubicle (if you have one). A system that could simply dry and recycle that air would be fairly effective - maybe with a few watts added to combat wind-chill [:I]

It ain't the kW's that matters, it's the kWH's as gets you.
To be able to make a statement about the ecological impact, we'd need to compare the energy (not power) consumed by this thing with the energy consumed by other methods, like for example, washing and drying towels. We'd also need to figure out what happened to the heat energy after the body drying process. If it goes into heating a house that's well insulated, it does not really get lost.
So, it may not be quite as cut-and-dried as we might think [;D]

Would it be any worse than hanging up a damp towel if it was used instead?

The cost free option is to stand outside in the wind to dry off.
I shall give it a try and report back to you.
In the mean time, if that bint lovely young lady in the advert wants help in drying her personage, I shall be glad to oblige.

Yes, in terms of peak capacity needed for the dehum.
Although, saying that, the dew point in a bathroom with door shut should make condensing much quicker with less kWh needed than slowly 'dragging' the damp as it dispersed through the house during the day.
One issue is the unit would likely serve the whole house not just the bathroom...

I realise the cost of the operation of the device would be extortionate but when ewe consider that it would only be used for ....lets say...20 seconds and then weigh that up against the cost of washing a towel through a complete cycle in a washing machine ....it might actually save money !!

When you're not drying yourself with it it can used as a mode of transport ...

I have now concluded my trials of 'Natural wind body drying' and here are the results.
The actual cost of 'Natural wind body drying' is zero. However there were some ancillary costs to be taken into account.
First, the cost of the neighbour's telephonic communication with 'the authorities'.
Second, the cost of the Fuzz speeding from their location to my abode with lights flashing and horns blasting. Also the transportation of 'Moi' to the 'Nick'.
Third, the time spent discussing the matter with the duty Sergeant.
Fourth, the bus fare for me to return to my abode.
Fifth, the impending cost of appearing before the 'Beak' to answer a charge of Indecent Exposure.
Sixth, (not a monetary cost) the humiliation of having my severely shrivelled undercarriage observed by the person/s in point 1 above.
I therefore conclude that it is not a good idea, especially in cold weather!

It may not be as bad an idea as it might seem at first sight. Also, re the humidity thing, in many parts of the World, it's necessary to add humidity to the air in a home during the Winter. (I realizes this is highly unlikely in the UK of course.)

You would need to sellotape any delicate body bits of appreciable size down securely to stop them flapping about in the enormous draft. That's if you have anything worth saving.

That's an interesting information to know about the dryer. But I want to know about its cost and its maintenance expenses. Also want to know that from where I can buy branded dryer.
