Title: Why are cats more affectionate in the morning than any other time?
Post by: Pseudoscience-is-malarkey on 13/07/2023 17:28:53
They're the only animal known for this behavior. 99% of cat-owning humans are probably aware of morning cuddles and not being able to drink coffee without a cat on their lap.- which, by the way, is a health hazard for both species as their bunting can cause your boiling hot go-juice to spill.

Only urban cats. Ours staggered in at dawn, exhausted from a night of hunting and fighting, and slept until it was time to annoy the dog.

That is a thing of the past, is it not? Cat owners keep a bevy of dry food for them 24/7.

When I feed someone's cat when they are on holiday, said cat is always very pleased to see me, much fuss and attention and food.

In my experience, cats can be quite affectionate in the morning because they may associate it with feeding time. Even if cat owners keep food available all day, cats may still have an instinctual connection between morning and being fed. When I've taken care of someone's cat while they were away, I noticed the cat would show me a lot of attention and excitement in the morning, possibly expecting to be fed. It's always nice to receive that warm welcome from a furry friend!
