Title: Why don't our own bums make us sick?
Post by: ATremor on 03/07/2010 00:18:49
When one tends to wipe their own rear end with rough toilet paper there is often blood. Open wounds and massive amounts of bacteria seem to usually be a big no-no.  How can the bum heal itself so rapidly and why doesn't this make us sick? Sorry if it's a crude question but I'm curious.

About half the people in the UK develop one or more haemorrhoids at some stage.

Symptoms can vary. Small haemorrhoids are usually painless. The most common symptom is bleeding after going to the toilet.

I've had the ol bleeding bum for most of my life. I guess I was assuming others had a bum as fragile as mine.

I think you should take it to your doctor.

Along with the sandpaper you are using to wipe with...LOL..Joking aside, I agree with Bored Chemist about seeing a doctor about the problem...there are many reasons one might bleed from the rear end after defecation the least of them from the toilet paper..and or hemorrhoids, as Rd mentioned... so please do go get checked...Perhaps they will find it something simply remedied?..

Take care.
