Hospitalisations Covid
« on: 28/06/2021 08:21:18 »
Are most people who are being hospitalised either elderly (their immune systems are weaker) or people who aren’t double jabbed. What’s the actual numbers in hospital of people who are double jabbed and what are their average ages?

That will vary by country.
- Approved vaccines provide good protection against the original strain, but reduced protection against some of the new variants, so the answers will change as new variants spread

You should be able to deduce some trends from the data here:
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/people-fully-vaccinated-covid

An anecdote from my city: A birthday party with 30 attendees. 24 ended up with Delta-strain COVID-19. The 6 who did not test positive were health workers who had been vaccinated.

BreakThrough cases have been reported Officially.

After 1 jab & even 2 jabs, people have still gotten infected.

Even mortalities have been reported.

No clarity on Infection possibility after Booster Dose.

Vaccination perhaps reduces or nullifies possibility of loss of life.

All age groups are being observed to be under Hospitalisation or Critical Care.

The Stormy Immune Response is a major cause for severeness.

Covid now seems Seasonal.
Do Not know How & What & Whether IF our GENES would be a major defining & distinctive factor.

I am sure that our genes partially affect whether we get infected, and how severe is the infection - and whether our immune system then dives into an immediate overreaction (cytokine storm) or a delayed reaction (long COVID).
- But environment certainly plays a part, too - whether PPE is available (and used), the degree of social distancing, and whether good hospital care and vaccination is available.

Some people have pointed to the situation in India, where cases were out of control, virtually no one had been vaccinated, and hospital care was unavailable to the majority of people. The pandemic raged uncontrolled, but now it seems to be in decline.
- Similarly, epidemiologists were making dire predictions when the UK declared "freedom day". Vaccination rates in the UK are fairly high, and some public health precautions are continuing (eg on the London underground), but cases have declined significantly.

Perhaps most of the susceptible people are now dead or recovered, and the infection rate is declining?

Not sure about hospitalisations, but the daily number of confirmed cases in the UK has risen from around 800 in May to 30,000 today. This is what politicians call "success" (see also "negotiated withdrawal from Afghanistan").

I wrote to my MP a few weeks ago, concerned in particular about the influx of several thousand "officials" to the European soccer final. He replied that the government trials of large gatherings had found only 8 positive tests among 30,000 participants. I pointed out that the false positive rate of PCR tests  is about 1%, so I would have expected to find at least 300  even if the gold standard  test had been administered to sterilised dummies in a laboratory. I await a response. Meanwhile there are lies damned lies, and government statistics.

" This is an issue that SAGE has warned about before.

In minutes from its July 7 meeting, SAGE scientists wrote that "the combination of high prevalence and high levels of vaccination creates the conditions in which an immune escape variant is most likely to emerge." It said at the time that "the likelihood of this happening is unknown, but such a variant would present a significant risk both in the UK and internationally." "

Source -https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/01/health/uk-scientists-covid-variant-beat-vaccines-intl/index.html

I'm ' Almost Certain ' it's going to begin from Africa, China or India.

Maybe it Already has...time will tell.

The deaths in the UK is 99 in 100 are not vaccinated(read double jabbed + 2 weeks) . This is after 66 percent of the total uk populace have been vaccinated, that is 0 years and over. The total death rate is similar to that of Brazil, who have vaccinated only 33 percent and half of those with sinovac which is the inactivated alpha corona virus strain. Half of UK schoolchildren have now had the corona virus.

I recenty went to the funeral of someone who refused the vaccine at the age of 76, they caught corona, ventilation, organ failure and unfortunately death. He leaves a heartbroken partner and a heartbroken son and a hole in the lives of a social group already traumatised . So if you are of age get vaccinated.

If the vaccine shows us anything it is that for the population under 45 the risk is negligible. In my opinion I find the opinion of the Professor who drove the astra zenica vaccine development that 3rd jabs are unnecessary and we should be vaccinating abroad. No doubt another mutation will occur in places with a lack of vaccine that will inevitably render the immunity from vaccines useless leading to more lockdowns.
