It's not quite than bad , it's only 1/10th the price of Chanel No. 5 (https://ans-wer.com/most-expensive-liquids.html?id=3). 

The high price is in part due to the razor-blade business-model (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Razor_and_blades_model) :  the printer's themselves are sold at below cost price.
