What is the chemical basis for ammonium hydroxide's use as a cleaner?
1. It's basic and basic compounds de-grease.
2. It's water plus a gas, so it doesn't leave a solid compound after drying, so you don't have to rinse after the use.

So it is "basically" a matter of the pH. Thanx.
