i would divide the "Treatments" up: Conventional medicine, (which covers testosterone, silosodin, progesterone, histamines)Conventional procedures (which covers immunotherapy, mri, surgeries etc)Alternative/natural medicines (which covers fenugreek, zinc, garlic etc)Alternative/natural procedures (which covers fitness, exercises, masturbation techniques, hypno etc)
Daveman, I can’t imagine what doctor would want to consult with a patient about POIS on a forum, even if it is private.
The new forum is open! The link below gets you there.Click here!http://72.52.181.21/POIS/index.phpYou can go over, sign up, use it if you wish. I hope to have a one stop fits all WEB page ready in about 2 wks. to unite everything in one place. As it is there's a link on the other forum directly to this one so it could just seem like another thread of the same forum. There's no need to use the same username although it would help the rest to know who you are. For now, Demo and I are moderators, we may need others to manage individual boards.Of course NSF is always here!

There is no need for this level of organisation, and I think it would also be highly counterproductive imposing some kind of divide between 'conventional' medicine and 'alternative'/'natural' medicine. Not only would it lead to arguments, it's not a scientific thing to do either.I think we should just have a forum called 'treatments', and then people can make threads like 'testosterone'. We want to keep the total number of forums to a bare minimum.

Note: Nowhere does it say "Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome" on main page.I would change "POIS center" to "Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome (P.O.I.S) Forum"Emphasis mine - demo
I like the new POIS forum, and have a suggestion. We should have a topic dedicated to new forum members so they can introduce themselves like 'Hi, my name is...', or 'New to the forum? Introduce yourself!'.I bet Demo would agree

I see some of the changes. I still think there are way too many forums. When I look at it right now it's too overwhelming. Going from 1 single thread to 12 forums and 5 major subdivisions is too much. We don't have the activity for this. I say start small and build up as we need it.I think we should only have 1 category, and maybe these 6 forums:- General- Treatments- Theories- Symptoms- Introductions- Scientific Progressor something along those lines. The general forum could have a thread which explains POIS, etc.I really think it's important to keep it simple... probably no more than 6-8 forums and definitely not separate categories like there is now. That doesn't mean 6-8 threads. We could still have hundreds of threads. And yes, it's usually possible to separate out topics to a finer level of detail -- indeed we could probably create 12,000 forums representing an idea in every single post here -- but that's not usually helpful.
Seconded Neil.Don't think you're gonna get rid of us from here though too easily!!We're sticken around like poo on a shoe!I like that because it rhymed!
I agree with what Counterpoints said about starting small and building up as we need. And the idea to keep it generally simple.
