Jesse Sackman asked the Naked Scientists:
How does a warm-blooded creature differ in managing heat than a cold-blooded one?
I've heard it has something to do with having a four-chambered heart but I don't see how that better manages losing the heat formed by metabolism. I'd think insulation would be the key but humans are not well insulated and we're warm.
What do you think?
