Title: Do you eat with or without the TV?
Post by: Seany on 03/06/2007 13:15:55: OK.. Well, we eat mostly with the TV here... We have a little table in our living room, so the family of 4 mostly eats there! Sometimes though, we eat in a our big table dining-room, although we don't do that much.. Weird. Heehee.. It's just too awkward without a TV blabbering in the background.

How about you? [;D]

Post by: Karen W. on 03/06/2007 16:06:48: When the kids were small we always ate at the table in the Kitchen as We had no Dining room. No Tv in there but we always had the TV on in the other room and could heard in the kitchen. As adults and older children they were always spread out watching tv while they ate. If I took the time to cook a big nice meal I expected them to come to the table and it it! LOL I liked family dinners at the table! Once a month I would make a fancy dinner very elaborate new fancy dish and then really deck the table out with table cloth the china, beautiful goblets and the candles and centerpiece...as if we had gone to a fancy restaurant.... They were expected to have decent manners at the table and we had fun and enjoyed good conversation music sometimes and wonderful chatter about everything..what we all wanted to do etc. or how things were with each of us.LOL That was my monthy fix for never doing anything.. It was in place of going out and spending money or movies etc.. It was actually very nice.. NO TV at all on those special nights! We even dressed up! LOL...

Post by: kdlynn on 03/06/2007 17:32:16: i don't have a dining room table. there's no room here. so i eat on the couch. and i can't stand silence (or the newlywed couple that lives below me) so the tv is always on. whether i'm paying attention or not is another story

Post by: Karen W. on 03/06/2007 17:38:37: We only turned it off for the once a month thing otherwise it was on until bedtime and then I turned the one on in the bedroom. Me husband hated it and would get mad so I would leave and go to the computer! LOLI need something on to sleep!

As much as I love tv, I hardly watch anymore as I love being here better. I really would love one here to see during the day also.

I have never stopped him from having the things he wants and he does have a mind of his own.. Besides it doesn't matter.. he loves riding his bike! I will not care what kind of bike he gets it is his money to blow as he sees fit! LOL
